    Picnics in the Park
    Bring the whole family out for a picnic in the new park. Come see
    the new fitness equipment, play a game of Bags or Bocce Ball.
    Fish with your family or just come by to meet your neighbors. In
    these hard times, we need to stick together and support our Community,
    Family and Friends. Stop by and grab a hot dog, chips and
    a drink for the bargain price of $1. Please call the Park District at
    (630) 629-0886 and let us know how many from your family will
    be attending.

    Knolls Community
    Park Anniversary Celebration
    Join the York Center Park District as we celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Knolls Community Park. Spend the evening playing
    bocce ball, bags, listening to a DJ. Enjoy the trackless train, slides,
    and much more for a fun evening. We will have $1 food specials,
    $1 raffles and free cake. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets
    to enjoy the FIREWORKS at the end of the night.

    Catfish Derby
    See how many catfish you can catch! Prizes will be awarded in a
    variety of categories. If you don’t have a pole don’t worry, loaner
    poles will be available. Refreshments will be served. No fishing allowed
    in the pond beginning Monday, August 9. Everyone MUST
    register in advance. This event will be held rain or shine. If
    weather is severe, call (630) 629-0886 for more information.

    Worldwide Day of Play
    It’s time to put down the remote, turn off the video games, and shut
    down your computer. September 25 is declared as national play
    day. To promote active and healthy living we have put together a
    variety of sports and activities that everyone can be apart of. We
    will participate in activities such as tug of war, potato sack races,
    relay races, three legged races, balloon toss, parachute games and
    much more! In order to accommodate everyone and organize
    teams please call us Thursday prior to event to let us know how
    many you will be expecting to participate.

    Kids Klub
    This summer, join us every Thursday for some lunchtime entertainment. These interactive children shows are a great free way to spend a summer
    afternoon. A variety of well-known acts will perform. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to our back patio/grass area. Refreshments and food
    will be available for purchase. Concession stand will open at 11:30 a.m. Performances are from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
