Each week’s activities are planned around a theme. The list of themes can be found in the ASR packet, which can be picked up at the front desk. This program follows the District 45 schedule.
We offer additional care on days when school is closed for holidays and traditional school closings, such as teacher institute days. This program follows similar guidelines as the After School Program, but is offered from 7:30am-6:00pm on days when children do not have school (excluding weekends). We ask that you be prompt at the time of pick-ups, as the program ends at 6:00pm. Campers MUST provide their own lunch and we ask that parents use disposable lunch bags labeled with the child’s name. Once again we follow the District 45 calendar and we “fill-in” for most days they do not have school. NOTE: A minimum of 10 participants is required in order to offer this service. Don’t wait until the last minute to register!

Martial Fitness teaches the basic movements required to perform through self-defense skills. Beginners and advanced martial artists will greatly benefit from this program. Aspects of all major martial arts in the world today are implemented including: Hapkido, Karate, Jujitsu, Gung-fu, Escrima, Pankration, San Shou & Kickboxing.

This class will meet once a month and we will create a cool new craft each month.
wide variety of fascinating and mind-boggling tricks! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session!

The DuPage Basketball Alliance is a co-op between the Villa Park Recreation Department and the York Center, Butterfield and Oakbrook Terrace Park Districts. Practices take place one day a week with games played on Saturdays. All practices and games take place at various locations within the cooperating districts. Team assignments, schedules and uniforms will be issued on November 15. Team practices begin the week of November 17. Kids will be randomly assigned to teams and coach/friend requests will not be accepted. All players must attend the pre season skill days. Please indicate the days/times that you are unable to practice.

We will be doing two activities including a cool craft and making a piece of bling-bling. Our second part of class will be a rock show. Make sure in your child’s letter you put their name, address, and what they want for the Holidays this year. All letters must be in by Monday, December 1.
